А.В. Шмидт: путь из египтологии в археологию. Пермский период работы в научной биографии (1918–1923 гг.)

На основе документов личного происхождения, многие из которых публикуются впервые (включая уникальные письма А.В. Шмидта к Б.А. Тураеву), и документов делопроизводства Пермского университета и Государственного Эрмитажа (служебные записки, телеграммы, отчеты о деятельности и пр.) при помощи биографического метода реконструируются основные этапы трансформации научных интересов и занятий выдающегося советского археолога А.В. Шмидта. Акцент сделан на переходе от занятий А.В. Шмидтом египтологическими исследованиями к изучению археологии Прикамья. Значительное внимание уделяется также его работе в Музее древностей Пермского университета и его вкладу в формирование научных коллекций данного музея. Делается вывод о влиянии среды Пермского университета и обстоятельств сложного исторического периода на смену научных интересов А.В. Шмидта.
