The article presents the first results of the petrographic analysis of stone findings and ceramic material from the archaeological excavations of the Drachevo II site. The monument is located in the Osa Municipal District of the Perm Krai, and was subjected to archaeological surveys in 2023. Petrographic analysis of stone artifacts and pottery is being conducted for the first time both for the site and for the Early Iron Age of the region. For the settlement, a study was conducted on 13 samples: 5 samples of stone and 8 samples of pottery. As a result, three types of raw materials were identified according to the stone inventory: quartzite sandstones, sandstones and trachytes. For pottery, the main type of raw materials used was identified – clay of a hydrosluidic composition, and impurities added to it (an admixture of plant material (organics), crushed shell and grog). The first results of the petrographic analysis showed the need to investigate the site by archaeological excavations, as well as conducting interdisciplinary research on materials from the Early Iron Age period of the region (in particular, petrographic analysis).
