Topical Issues of Preservation of Cultural Heritage Sites

The issues and legal aspects in the legislation of the Russian Federation in terms of the preservation of cultural heritage on the example of regional functioning are considered in the article. An attempt to combine the existing legislative and sub-legislative acts in the field of archaeological and survey activities, both public and private contractors is made by the author. The functioning of local legislation, its problems and possible solutions are analyzed. The article also touches upon the topics of the anthropogenic and natural causes of destruction of the archeological settlements. The author came to the conclusion that ensuring the preservation and study of objects of historical and cultural heritage, including archaeological ones, directly depends on the understanding at the state level of the importance of the integrated preservation of the historical and cultural heritage of our country and a well-thought-out policy in the field of protecting cultural heritage.
