Abstract

The author analyzes the objects of material culture of the Golden Horde Solkhat. As a source, materials of security excavations of the city in 2011 were used. These are finds from the filling of a residential complex of the third quarter of the XIV century that was built on the site of the bathhouse of the first half of the XIV century. The wealth and variety of artifacts made it possible to examine almost all groups of objects that formed the basis of the material culture of the city of the chronological period under consideration. Synchronous similar objects of material culture of the Volga Bulgaria, carefully described and combined into types, were used for attribution and comparison. This considered complex did not meet weapons, valuable ware and rare types of jewelry. Overwhelmingly, these are household items and ordinary jewelry, made on a high level. Such characteristic features make the considered complex closer to the material culture of the so-called small Golden Horde cities of the Volga river region.
