Abstract

The paper presents the materials of the excavation of the barrow field "Aigursky-1" in the Stavropol region in 2000. The site is located on the north-eastern slopes of the Stavropol upland, on the watershed of the Aigurka river (the right tributary of the Kalaus river) and the Dzhukhta (the basin of the Eastern Manych). Two robbed burials of the Golden Horde time were studied in the barrow. The remains of rich burial set were found, which has analogies in the sites of the Central Ciscaucasia, the Lower Don, the Lower Volga and the Middle Volga regions. Glass jewelry and fragments of filigree jewelry are of interest. The nearby location of the burials indicates probable ties of relationship between the buried persons. Judging by the preserved burial set, members of the nomadic elite were buried in the barrow. It is another elite complex of the Golden Horde period on the northeastern slopes of the Stavropol upland.
