V International Congress on Archaeology of the Eurasian Steppes "Eurasian Steppe Civilization: human and historical and cultural environment"

The publication presents the results of the international scientific congress held in October 2022 in Turkistan city (Kazakhstan). The tradition of holding the International congress of archaeology of the Eurasian steppes was founded on constituent assembly in Kazan in 2007, organized by archaeologists of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences. Scientists and experts from various scientific organizations representing 28 countries participated in the work of V Congress that took place on the basis of the Institute of Archaeology named after A.Kh. Margulan. At congress 213 papers devoted to the urgent issues of archaeology of steppe Eurasia were presented and discussed. Proceedings of the Congress are published in 5 volumes covering 5 basic thematic directions - archaeology of the epoch of early metal, early and medieval nomads, ancient and medieval cities, and also issues of preservation and museumification of archaeological heritage of Eurasia.
