Abstract

This article is dedicated to the history of the discovery and further study of a hoard found in 1888 by local peasants on the banks of the Lekma River, consisting of 242 Golden Horde coins and 4 «Tatar» bracelets, later dated to the first half of the XV century. A detailed review of the references and history of the study of the Tashyalud hoard of Golden Horde coins and bracelets, starting from the pre-revolutionary period (archival documents of the Vyatka Provincial Statistical Committee) and ending with modern generalizing works (G.A. Fedorov-Davydov, E.Y. Mokerova, etc.) is presented. The chronology of the hoard and its connection with large-scale historical events in the region, possible reasons for its thesaurus, the historical topography of the discovery site and the link with the nearest archaeological sites of the contemporary Yar district of Udmurtia are considered separately. An assumption has been made about the connection of the hoard with the Bolgar-Tatar population that moved to the Cheptsa River basin during the period of cardinal changes in the Volga-Kama region caused by the dissolution of the Golden Horde.
