The paper features the results of the study of fish and bird bone remains from Podymalovo-1 Golden Horde settlement located in the Ufa region of the Republic of Bashkortostan, and is characterized as a stationary, year-round settlement with developed animal husbandry and trade relations. In total, 10 fish species and 21 bird species were identified in the collection of three years of excavations. The bones of large fish species predominated: starry sturgeon, Russian sturgeon, pike and catfish. The sizes and ages of the fish were restored; the fishing season corresponding to the warm period of the year was determined. The presence of domestic bird bones (goose, duck, chicken) of different ages indicate poultry farming. Among the wild birds, there are game species with the predominance of black grouse remains and species that were not used as food. Of interest is the presence of a large number of goshawk bones, which were kept in the settlement and used for falconry.
